DisDubs is a free dubbing game that runs inside Discord, operated by GridIron Duels LLC. Using it means you accept what is on this page. If you do not, do not use it.

What this is

A hobby project, provided free and as-is. There is no uptime promise, no support obligation, and it may change or stop working at any time. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Discord Inc., or to the makers of any film, show, or clip you dub with it.

You need a Discord account

DisDubs runs entirely inside Discord and depends on it for sign-in and voice. Discord's own terms and community guidelines apply to everything you do here, including their minimum age requirement.

Recording other people

This is the part that actually matters. While a take is rolling, everyone in the voice channel is recorded — see the privacy policy. By starting a take you are confirming that the people in the channel know they are being recorded and are fine with it.

Do not use DisDubs to:

Recording laws differ by country and by state, and some require every participant to consent. Complying with the ones that apply to you is your responsibility.

Scenes you import

DisDubs plays scene packs that you supply. Many of those contain footage and audio from films and television owned by other people. We do not host, distribute, or provide any of that content — you bring it, and you are responsible for having the right to use it.

Do not import material you have no right to use. If you are a rights holder and something here involves your work, email admin@gridiron-duels.com and we will remove it.

What you make

Your recorded performance is yours. You give us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your audio, cut it into lines, mix it into the finished video, and show it to the other people in your session. We claim no ownership and will not use your recordings for anything else.

Suspension

We can remove content or block access, without notice, for anything on this page — most obviously recording people who did not agree to it. There is no appeals process; it is a hobby project.

No warranty, and limits on liability

DisDubs is provided "as is", with no warranty of any kind. Recordings can be lost — the server holds session state in memory, so a restart mid-session ends it, and files are deleted on a schedule. Do not treat this as storage for anything you care about.

To the fullest extent the law allows, GridIron Duels LLC is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of DisDubs, and total liability is limited to what you paid to use it, which is nothing. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes

These terms may change; the date at the top will change with them. Continuing to use DisDubs after that means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana, United States.
